Minimum value
A single item needs an estimated value of at least $15. Below that we'll still take it, but only bundled with other items — inspecting, photographing and shelving something costs more than a $5 item is worth.
No, we can't take these
- WeaponsIncluding replicas, ammunition and knives beyond utility size
- Hazardous materialsFlammables, aerosols, batteries shipped loose, chemicals
- PerishablesFood, drink, anything needing refrigeration
- CounterfeitsIf we can't authenticate it, we can't shelve it
- Recalled productsAnything under an active safety recall
- Bulky itemsFurniture, mini fridges, bikes, mattresses, anything over 20 lb
- Prescription & medicalMedication, medical devices, contact lenses
- Living thingsPlants, animals, anything that was recently either
- ID & documentsPassports, licences, financial instruments, gift cards

Why no bulky items?
Furniture, mini fridges and bikes are exactly what students want to offload in May — we know. But they need freight, pallet space and two people to move, and none of that fits the MVP facility. It's on the roadmap, not the ignore list.
If we reject something
You get a specific reason, not a form letter. Rejected items are held for 14 days so you can pay return shipping. Sending prohibited items repeatedly can get your account suspended — mostly because some of it is genuinely dangerous to the people opening boxes.
